Moving and deleting assets

Every asset in Collage has an option menu with actions for relocating and removing it. This article covers Move and Delete, plus how deleted assets are recovered. Open the menu by clicking the three-dot icon next to an asset.

Move an asset

Moving relocates an asset to a different folder without creating a copy:

1. From the asset option menu, select Move.
2. In the popup, use the Search Folder box or scroll the folder list to find a destination. Folders with an arrow contain subfolders you can expand.
3. To create a destination that doesn't exist yet, click the + icon.
4. Click Move. This button enables only after you pick a folder.

You can select only one destination, and you can't move an asset to the folder it's already in. Once moved, the original folder no longer contains the asset.

Delete an asset

Deleting removes an asset from your active workspace and sends it to Trash:

1. From the asset option menu, select Delete.

Recover a deleted asset

After deleting, you have 30 days to recover the asset from Trash:

• Restore — returns the asset to its original location.
• Delete Forever — permanently removes the asset; this can't be undone.
• Items left in Trash are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Always review an asset before deleting it, and remember you can restore it if you change your mind.
