A Collage is a curated group of assets brought together for a specific purpose — a product launch, a marketing campaign, or an internal training kit. This guide covers creating and managing Collages. For putting assets into one, see Adding content to Collages.
Why use Collages
- Flexible organization — arrange assets into logical collections without changing where they live.
- No duplication — the same asset can belong to multiple Collages without being duplicated.
- Efficient sharing — share a whole group through a single link instead of sending files separately.
Because Collages reference assets rather than move them, they differ from folders — see Folders vs Collages.
Create a Collage
- From the navigation panel — click the + icon, select New Collage, enter a name and optional description, then click Create.
- From the Dashboard — click the New Collage button, complete the details, and click Create.
- From an asset — select the assets you want, click Add to Collage, then choose an existing Collage or create a new one.
View your Collages
Open the Collages page and toggle between two views:
- Grid — visual cards with a thumbnail, name, and asset count; a lock icon marks private Collages.
- List — a table with name, description, dates, and asset count.
Inside a single Collage, you get an extra Mosaic view — a freeform, magazine-style layout where assets overlap — alongside Grid and List.
View and organize inside a Collage
Those same view options live behind a single Display button (the gear icon), alongside Sort by and, in Grid view, Thumbnail size.
Select multiple items and use the floating bulk action bar for Add to another collage, Insert Custom Field, Share, Download, Tag, Move, or Delete. See Acting on many assets at once with bulk actions for how selection and each action work.
Use the Collage options menu
Clicking a Collage's option menu gives you Share, Download, Edit (name or description), Portals, and Delete. To take an asset out, hover over it and choose Remove from Collage — this removes only the reference, and does not delete the asset from your library or any other Collage.
Warning: A deleted Collage cannot be recovered. Unlike assets and folders, Collages don't go to Trash — deleting one is permanent (the assets inside are unaffected).
